Kodak Ektacolor Pro 400 (35mm)

This is Portra 400. We want to be completely clear about that, because it is the whole point. Kodak Ektacolor Pro 400 launched on 24 March 2026 as part of Eastman Kodak's move to bring its professional film distribution back in-house from Kodak Alaris — and since Alaris owns the Portra name outright, Eastman needed a name of its own. The emulsion is unchanged. Same coating, same Rochester plant, same film, different box. Kodak calls it the world's sharpest and finest-grain 400-speed colour negative film, and the Alaris marketing says exactly the same thing about Portra 400, which tells you everything. What you get is the reference standard for colour negative: exceptionally natural skin tones, soft accurate colour, remarkable exposure latitude, and grain so fine it barely reads at normal enlargement sizes.
