Nikon FM3A + AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D

The Nikon FM3A was Nikon's last manual-focus FM-series body, and it solved a problem every film photographer had been arguing about for decades. Released in July 2001, it pairs a fully mechanical shutter that runs without a battery with aperture-priority auto exposure, so you get both reliability and convenience. Production ended in January 2006, and the FM3A has been sought after ever since. This kit pairs it with the AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D, a small, light standard lens with a proper aperture ring that meters fully on this body.

Condition

• Cosmetic: The body is in excellent condition with little sign of use, apart from some paint wear on the back. The lens is excellent-plus, with no fungus, haze or scratches.
• Functional: The body works fully. The shutter fires at every speed, the light meter works, the viewfinder is clear and bright. Small chip on the bottom right of viewfinder as shown, but does not impact viewing at all. Film advance and rewind are smooth. The lens is fully functional and smooth.

The FM3A has no autofocus motor, so the 50mm f/1.8D focuses manually on this body using its focus ring. Aperture-priority mode and metering both work fully. The mechanical speeds keep working if the battery dies, and the body has some paint wear on the back.
