Soligor did not build its own lenses — it commissioned them from Japanese makers including Tokina, Sun and Cosina and sold them under its own name, which is why the C/D series has a reputation that depends entirely on which factory made a given copy. The well-made ones are genuinely good, and several reviewers rate the Tokina-built C/D lenses as equal to the camera makers' own glass of the period. 28mm is the classic wide: enough width for interiors and streetscapes without the stretched look of anything shorter.

Specifications

Focal length: 28mm

Maximum aperture: f/2.8

Aperture range: f/2.8 to f/22

Mount: Olympus OM

Focus: Manual, minimum approximately 0.3m

Era: Mid-1970s to around 1980

Format: 35mm full-frame coverage

Condition

Cosmetic: Near mint condition, with little to no signs of age and use.
