The Canon AE-1 Program is one of the best-selling 35mm SLRs ever made, and the camera that brought full program automation to ordinary photographers in 1981. Point it, and the camera picks both shutter speed and aperture; or take back shutter priority, or go fully manual. It is the SLR a lot of people picture when they picture an SLR.
