Canon IXUS 180

The Canon IXUS 180 is the newest camera here by a wide margin — a 2016 compact — and the surprise is that Canon still fitted it with a 20 megapixel CCD sensor when the rest of the industry had long since switched to CMOS. That makes it a genuine oddity: the CCD look the digicam revival wants, in a camera with Wi-Fi and NFC, a 10x 24-240mm zoom, and DIGIC 4+ behind it. You can shoot and send to your phone without a cable, which is not something a 2007 camera will ever do. Sold as the PowerShot ELPH 190 IS in North America and the IXY 190 in Japan.
