Kyocera Yashica Zoomate 110W

The one with the wide end. The Kyocera Yashica Zoomate 110W arrived in 1997 as the top of the Zoomate range, and its party trick was a genuine 28mm wide angle — rare in a compact zoom of that era, when almost everything started at 35mm or 38mm and left you backing into walls. The W in the name is the whole point. From 28mm it runs out to 110mm, which covers street, interiors, landscape and a tight-enough portrait in one small plastic body. It also has a panorama switch and, unusually for the class, a variable dioptre in the finder for spectacle wearers.
