Nikon FG + Sigma 28-70mm Zoom

Rs. 6,500.00

Released in 1982, the Nikon FG gave amateur photographers a step up in automation from the fully manual Nikon line, with an electronically timed shutter and TTL metering built in. This copy is fitted with a Sigma 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom, which covers a useful standard range on the same F-mount. The light meter does not switch on, so this camera is best treated as a manual-exposure body. Every shutter speed still fires, which makes it a straightforward option for shooters who meter externally or use Sunny 16.

Specifications

  • Released 1982; manufactured by Nippon Kogaku until 1984 in Japan

Condition

  • Cosmetic: Excellent condition with some minor signs of age and use. The lens rear element has haze. The lens is free of scratches and fungus.
  • Functional: All shutter speeds work. The light meter does not turn on. Program and aperture-priority modes are inoperative, so the camera is usable in manual mode only, with an external meter or Sunny 16.

Included

  • Nikon FG body
  • Sigma 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom lens
  • UV filter

At ₹6,500, this is a working manual SLR with a zoom lens for shooters who are comfortable metering by hand. The dead light meter and the inoperative program and aperture-priority modes are the main limits on this copy, and the lens haze is visible on the rear element.
