Nikon FM10 + Nikkor 35-70mm F3.5-4.5 Zoom

The Nikon FM10 with the Zoom-Nikkor 35-70mm f/3.5-4.5 is the kit Nikon itself sold this camera in — and it remains the best-balanced version of it. The FM10 is fully mechanical, introduced in 1995 and built by Cosina, with a 1/2000s top speed and the entire AI-compatible Nikkor catalogue available to it. The 35-70mm is a compact Nikon-made zoom covering wide to short portrait, sharp and contrasty across the range.
