Yashica Super Yashinon-R 400mm f/6.3

One of Yashica's early "big boys" — the Super Yashinon-R 40cm (400mm) f/6.3, a preset super-telephoto made by Tomioka Optical in the early 1960s. It was among the first long lenses for Yashica's M42 screw-mount SLR bodies, and it is a genuine piece of Japanese optical history. At nearly 15 inches long with a built-in tripod collar, it has real presence — as much a display piece as a shooter. Clean optics make it a striking centrepiece for any M42 collection.
